2024 IS NOT COMING IN LIKE A LAMB...

My friends are starting out the year rough. One lost a pet, one is trying desperately to keep her family together, another suffered 2 deaths in her friend circle over the holidays. What is happening??

I've been fortunate to start the year off a little gentler. I almost feel guilty for it when I look at those around me. Makes my heart hurts for them, and I'm a little guarded, wondering when mine's going to hit.

It's not all roses I suppose. My daughter and I are in a bit of a rough patch at the moment (which was the reason for my absence. I honestly forgot all about writing) but I'm hoping that after a heart felt conversation with her a few days ago, it can be the start of a reset.

There's a small hiccup with being able to get my Swedish passport. Some deep dive digging has it looking a little more complicated then I originally thought. There's a rule about turning the age 22, and I'm hoping there's a way through that without too much red tape. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

And I'm switching gears a bit on my writing. After a bit of research with people far more experienced than me, the way at which I was approaching it was not the best course of action. Needless to say, I didn't see that coming, but I do what I always do, don't quit....pivot.

So, ok....maybe I'm hitting a few speed bumps too!
